Tropical Update

FCTV offers Tropical Updates as necessary during the hurricane season June 1 through November to keep residents up to date and informed about weather developments in the tropics and how those storms may affect Flagler County. The information is provided by Flagler County Emergency Management.

Tropical weather is often very site specific, a difference of 50 to 100 miles can mean the difference between evacuation and staying in place. The program offers County residents a unique perspective on tropical weather situation on how they will affect Flagler County as opposed to weather forecasts for the major media outlets of Orlando and Jacksonville.

Prior Tropical Updates for Flagler County are archived for your review.

Due to recent staffing changes, regular broadcasts of Tropical Updates have been suspended. For the short term, Tropical Updates will be broadcast and posted on the web site as activity in the tropics warrants. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the EOC at (386)313-4200.
